The world had turned upside down, in March. Living just on the outskirts of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, we were on lock down with the spread of Covid-19 & major rioting. In a matter of a week, a trip which had been planned to celebrate our twins' 2nd birthday had been canceled, my husband's schedule at work had been chopped, and we weren't sure which way was up.

Meanwhile, I had this half laid out plan clunking around in my head of a side gig, to my side hustle. In April, we had missed my grandparents' 80th & 85th birthdays, & the twins' birthday fell on Easter. I was scrambling to figure out exactly what we were going to do for our children as well as figure out others' birthday gifts, when our phones blew up with messages & phone calls as word spread. It was a huge deal for our family that since we'd be home during Easter & the twins birthday they wanted to send gifts. We received the same question from everyone, What should we send to them. Not having made a list because we were to have been away & only celebrating between the four of us, I was desperately searching for ideas now too. 

It was then that I realized May was fast approaching & my mom's, & brother's birthday, as well as Mothers Day fell on the same day AGAIN this year. Porch package drive by were the way I was going to have to go this year. Unfortunately, I wasn't finding the things online that I wanted. It wasn't going to be possible to get to the small mom & pop stores (like the ones found in the small town where we take our summer weekends.) Those were the places I typically shopped for such items. Anything I found online like flowers, cookie arrangements, or fruit baskets were well out of reach with so much up in the air & had ZERO wow factor. Whether it was going to be a celebration of making it through another day with 2 year old twins or sending my grandmother a late birthday candle for her 80th, there needed to be an online store that sold cute yet AMAZING celebration items that could easily be sent to family, friends, or even myself, at a reasonable price point. 

It was at that point Vanity Tray, LLC extended the product line from great skincare & long-lasting cosmetics to pampering luxurious spa TREATS! We have selected each supplier by hand. We wanted the small business wholesalers, that stood behind their products, that hand made items in small batches for quality control, & were either local or made in the USA. 

We are obtaining products with high quality and eco-friendly ingredients as much as possible. We want to support female owned, chronic pain/illness entrepreneurs, as well as those that are charitable, just like us!
